Buy America Steel Products Association was started to be a resource for federal and state officials who enforce Buy America rules for road construction projects. It was also started to be a resource for road construction contractors looking for Buy America-compliant steel products. Our online directory makes it easy to find made-in- America steel products.
The Association was also started to keep a sharp eye on the Buy America Program, to alert readers of proposed changes to the Program, and to advocate for keeping the Buy America Program as robust as possible. Congress has made it clear that it expects Buy America to be applied as broadly as reasonably possible. Our works supports this view.
Over the past year, we’ve helped state officials and road contractors find companies that can supply certain Buy America steel products. We’ve promoted our growing member companies so that readers know who they are and what they sell. We’ve kept readers informed of proposed changes to Buy America rules and how they could make their voices heard. We’ve also followed and reported on the Trump administration’s consideration of steel import duties. Our hope is that you will use our website as a resource. In the coming year, we will make some changes to make it easier to find companies selling specific steel products. We will also continue to keep readers apprised of proposed policy changes that would affect the steel products industry.
